EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

GLOBAL TRAVELER + OBSERVER
Sabbatical | 10.15-10.16 | 47 countries, 25 states
Took a sabbatical from “official” user research and strategy to unofficially but more deeply understand other places, people, and ways of life, in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the US.
Conducted personally-directed insight projects, with a focus on identity, gender, daily rituals, homes, public community behavior, water use, retail, Airbnb experiences, and overall unifiers vs. differentiators.
DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH + STRATEGY
DESIGN RESEARCHER + STRATEGIST
ELEVEN | 05.11-09.15 | Boston, MA
As Director of Research + Strategy, I led ELEVEN's global consumer anthropology, actionable insight creation, and futures and trends efforts. I led multi-disciplinary teams as we identified, understood, and synthesized true user needs and built design strategies that most effectively brought these to life, for a wide range of clients.
Through this role, my team and I expanded ELEVEN's research and strategy capabilities from primarily short insight, product-focused projects, to a formal department, able to take on multi-month, solely research-focused engagements for products, brands, and business strategies alike. Designed and led 30+ projects, often end-to-end. We were awarded a spot on P&G’s exclusive Consumer & Market Knowledge roster under my leadership.
